Product Updates
A running log of the major features and improvements shipped to the SNT Counsel litigation platform.
Deeper Case Vault research
- Full-document keynotes — long regulations and reports are distilled section by section, so principles from the body of a document surface alongside those from its summary.
- Concept search — vault research finds passages by meaning as well as by exact words, so a question phrased differently from the source still lands on the right authority.
- Self-healing vault — authorities that imported without keynotes or search coverage are picked up and completed automatically.
- Missing-authorities list — anything Emma concludes is absent lands on a pull list on the Case Vault page, even when you ask her not to fetch it.
Emma grounds answers in the Case Vault
- Legal analysis — Emma draws on the Case Vault so authorities you have already collected inform her reasoning alongside the record.
- Standards and authorities — controlling standards come back ranked, with page-anchored links into regulations and guidance so you can land on the exact passage cited.
- Coverage gaps — Emma tells you where the vault is thin on a point and can pull in public authority to fill it.
- Document lookup — titles, captions, and subtitles are matched across case filings as well as regulations, reports, and guidance documents.
Visibility into long Emma runs
- Long-running work — a delegated task shows its subject, whether it is still active, and how long it is expected to take.
- Progress at a glance — you can check in on a run mid-flight and decide whether to wait, keep working elsewhere, or come back later.
Exhibits and transcript exports
- Exhibit detection — exhibits referenced during a session are picked up from the transcript and matched by Bates number into the Exhibits panel.
- Transcript exports — any skipped portion is called out visibly in the export so the record you hand over is unambiguous.
- Re-export on demand — you can regenerate a session transcript yourself whenever the session has changed or you need a fresh copy.
New sources for review
- SharePoint — connect a SharePoint tenant from the Integrations catalog and bring its content in for review.
- Integrations catalog — browse available connections in one place and set up a source without help from support.
- AI chat history — each conversation lands as a single reviewable document, so chat transcripts can be coded and searched like any other record.
Data rooms and deal terms
- Folder permissions — access granted on a data-room folder governs what a party can open, delete, and find in search.
- Data-room search — results respect each participant's permissions, so counterparties only see the material you have shared with them.
- Deal Terms — edits are held as you type and committed when you move off a field, so long term sheets can be worked through in one pass.
Search replay and case intake
- Audit trail — open any recorded search and replay it exactly as it was run, so you can reconcile a prior result set or defend a methodology.
- Court case intake — capture the filed date and presiding judge when you add a matter, so chambers detail travels with the case record.
Search Term Reports and RFP coverage
- Load an opposing party's term sheet from a spreadsheet, PDF, or Word file and get a full hit report with per-term negotiation verdicts.
- Run what-if simulations that show exact document counts before you agree to drop or keep a term.
- Compare your proposal against theirs side by side, export to Excel with a methodology sheet, and hand the final locked review population straight to Doc Review and production.
- Overlay written RFP answers on a coverage matrix and click any Bates number to open the document in review.
Workroom and long-running research
- Hand Emma a corpus-scale question and she works it as a background job, showing live progress, laps completed, cost against budget, and time remaining.
- Approve a spend increase, pause, restart from a checkpoint, or stop a run at any point, with plain-English explanations whenever a run needs your input.
- Runs survive deploys and browser refreshes, and finished work is saved as deliverables you can download, email, or file into Working Files.
- Save a finished piece of work as a reusable skill or playbook and run it again on new documents.
Emma citations, sources, and skills
- Citations jump to the exact quoted passage in the document, with the passage highlighted so surrounding text still reads through.
- Cited documents open inline, in Doc Review, save to Working Files, or download without leaving the thread.
- Scope a conversation to specific folders, custodians, production volumes, or court dockets so answers only draw on the sources you choose.
- Emma tells you what has been uploaded since the conversation began and can hand over downloads and emailed documents directly in chat.
Document review at scale
- Keyword searches return in under a second, with relevance ranking on by default.
- Zero-result and filtered searches say exactly which filter caused the shortfall and offer one-click widening, and near-spellings are suggested for name-shaped terms.
- Bates lookups now work on productions loaded without Bates metadata and tolerate zero-padding differences and slash-delimited case numbers.
- Coding is safer with one-click privilege marking, conflict warnings when another reviewer has coded since you loaded, and Find Similar results pulled to the top of your queue.
Working Files explorer
- A full file explorer for matter work product with nested folders, tree navigation, grid and tile views, drag-and-drop moves, cut and paste, rename, trash, and undo.
- Preview any file without opening it — spreadsheets render as a grid, Office files and media play inline, and scanned documents show a searchable rendition.
- Drop whole folders to upload, watch progress in a status center, and resume interrupted uploads.
- Send any file straight to Emma, find similar documents, and browse saved and smart views.
Interviews, sessions, and trial
- Prep Your Witness lets you upload your exact questions verbatim, attach court docket filings without re-uploading, and send invites instantly.
- Recorded witness interviews get a full-page question-spine review with clip picking, evidence-grounded assessment scoring, and a follow-up interview builder.
- A floating session pill keeps recording controls, a live caption ticker, and mic health visible from any page, including a pop-out always-on-top recorder.
- New Mock Trial and Evidence Projection modes, plus a trial record and evidentiary rulings derived automatically from the day's transcript.
Attorneys-eyes-only fences and client sharing
- Mark documents attorneys-eyes-only and they are fenced from Emma, search, deliverables, binders, and share links for anyone below the required assignment level.
- Restricted matter-team members see In-house and Client badges, and administrators get a fence panel with a full audit trail.
- Share a client thread by magic link into a full-screen workspace with live answers and PDF export, and jump into an active client conversation from Home.
Emma works in the background
- Emma now produces finished deliverables — memos, spreadsheets, slide decks, and typeset PDFs — that land in your working files ready to download.
- Long research runs continue in the background across all your matters, and you get an email when a run finishes or when Emma needs a decision from you.
- Run several conversations at once from a redesigned chat panel with automatic topic titles, pinned chats, and inline renaming.
- Emma recalls her prior chats and previously verified facts on the matter, and her access is always limited to the matters you can already see.
Deal chat and closing checks
- Ask questions about a deal and all of its documents in a single chat surface.
- Financial analysis, contract-term extraction, and search across every transaction in your portfolio are available directly from a deal.
Exhaustive matter-wide search
- Ask a question and Emma sweeps the entire matter rather than a sample, reporting total match counts and cross-checking before reporting that nothing matched.
- Searches automatically account for spelling variants, entity and fund name variations, and Bates numbers written with different separators.
- When a search returns nothing useful, you now get concrete suggestions — simpler terms, a different mode, filename-only scope, or a cross-matter hint.
- Clicking a citation in any finding jumps straight to the quoted passage with the text highlighted, and recent searches are one click away.
Productions, review, and docket sync
- Import received productions from a much wider range of load-file formats, with Bates ranges, producing-party filters, real document dates, and an Ours / Received source filter.
- Select documents in review and export them as a ZIP or compile them into a hyperlinked binder with a table of contents and per-document annotations.
- Chat exports, text messages, spreadsheets, audio, and video now open in purpose-built viewers — chat threads, an Excel-like grid, and a media player with a synced, searchable transcript.
- Court dockets can be watched live, with cost controls and automatic ingestion of new filings.
Living case report and authority vault
- Build a case report through a guided interview, where nothing advances to a new edition without your explicit approval.
- An authority vault ties legal principles to the opinions that support them, with redlines, party-keyed receipts, and a click-through opinion viewer.
- Leave anchored comment threads with @mentions on any part of the report, and download authorities and sections to Word or PDF.
- A proof pyramid maps every claim against each defendant, with an element-by-element dossier per party.
Witness hub and trial intelligence
- A person-centric Witnesses & Experts hub gathers transcripts, reports, notes, and documents for every witness and custodian in the matter, with faceted search.
- Live sessions show a near-real-time transcript pane, contradiction alerts, and finding cards that link straight to the quoted document.
- Mark and plan exhibits before a deposition, and rename diarized speaker labels to real names.
- Trial Intelligence has been redesigned around a case posture banner and deposition ledger, and client-ready session reports export to PDF or Word in one click.
Court docket and case setup
- Upload court filings in batches with live progress, and a guided bundle wizard catches duplicates and matches filings by filename.
- The case timeline now fills in automatically from docket filings, so chronology builds itself as you file.
- Case editing is simpler and faster, with a custom option for type of case and party roles.
- Jury selection now opens directly from the Analysis tab in one click.
Smarter search and Emma
- Describe the search you want in your own words and Emma generates the search terms for you to review and edit before running them.
- Findings are now fully searchable, and Emma looks across case files and recordings alongside your documents.
- Ask Emma which discovery requests look under-produced and get a coverage answer with the supporting detail.
Document review and deal documents
- A document-density histogram sits behind the review date scrubber, showing where volume clusters over time.
- Redact text simply by highlighting it in the viewer, with the redaction saved exactly where you marked it.
- In title history, you can preview the underlying source document in place and link straight to a specific deal tab.
Motion drafting workspace
- Work an entire motion in a single workspace that opens with your deadline and case theory, then walks you through each step in plain language.
- The assistant sweeps your case record before drafting, asks you the questions only you can answer, and shows you what still needs to be rebutted.
- Authority research builds a reviewable pull-list, and every proposed citation can be weighted, overridden, or challenged before it reaches the draft.
- Export is blocked until citations are verified against the record, and your edited file always stays the source of truth.
